The stuff homeowners actually ask us.
Insurance, deductibles, timelines, and whether we're for real. Plain answers, no hedging.
Will my insurance actually cover this?
We can't promise that, and any contractor who does is just telling you what you want to hear. What we can do is document every bit of the damage and make sure your adjuster sees all of it. The better the documentation, the better your odds.
What's a deductible, and do I have to pay it?
Your deductible is the part of a covered claim you're responsible for. It's set by your policy, and it doesn't change based on who does the work. No contractor can legally waive it or pay it for you, no matter what they tell you.
What is depreciation holdback and why does it matter?
Most policies pay in two parts. You get an initial payment, then a second one (called recoverable depreciation) once the work is actually done and documented. We'll walk you through exactly how that applies to your policy so you're not surprised by the first check looking small.
What if the estimate changes after you start?
It shouldn't, because we document the full scope and materials in writing before we start. If something genuinely unexpected turns up once we're into the job (like hidden decking damage), we show you photos and explain it before doing anything. Not after.
How long does a full replacement actually take?
Most standard residential jobs are torn off, replaced, and cleaned up in a single day. Bigger or more cut-up roofs can take two.
Do I need to be home during the work?
No, but we'll keep you updated throughout the day so you're never left wondering what's happening.
How do I know you're not a storm chaser?
We're based locally in the Marion area, not an out-of-town crew that showed up after the storm. The phone number is the same year-round, storm or no storm. Licensed and insured, here year-round.
What does your warranty actually cover?
Every replacement comes with a written workmanship warranty on the install, with the exact terms spelled out on your paperwork. We hand you the specifics in writing before any work starts, not a vague promise with nothing behind it.
Let's find out what's actually going on up there.
Free inspection, no pressure. We'll tell you the truth about your roof, in writing, before you spend a dollar.
No obligation. We'll never pressure you to sign anything on the spot.
